Who are we? Why are we on this planet and in this universe? Why do we act as we do? How do I get to know myself? How do I keep developing myself? The courses in the category Man & Society try to find answers to these questions.
Experienced teachers help to acquire insight into historical and philosophical movements and bring out the best in yourself, including your career.
Each year Volksuniversiteit Den Haag programmes a number of courses in which a specific period of event in history is highlighted. When possible we'll pay attention to current affairs.
The 'Philosophical Year' offers the opportunity to attend philosophy courses for a whole year, to read original source texts and to philosophise yourself.
The interest in courses for personal development is growing. Apart from familiar courses such as Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) en Speaking in public, you can also develop your talents, creativity and energy. Moreover you can attend inroductions in quantum physics and astronomy.

You're never too young or old to develop yourself. If you prefer not to go out at night, attend a day course.
A good knowledge of the Dutch language is required to attend this course.
